Clayton GOP panel to discuss impact of change

ELKADER – Change will be on the minds of Clayton County Republicans when they gather Tuesday AUG. 25 for their annual Lincoln Club dinner in Elkader.
In addition to three candidates for the GOP nomination for governor and party dignitaries, there will be a panel discussion on “How Change is Really Affecting our Lives.” The panel will feature Mike Breitbach, a trucking business operator in Strawberry Point; auto dealer Dave Brown of Guttenberg, farmers Doug Reimer of Guttenberg and Joe Shirbroun of Farmersburg, Monona City Councilman James Feudner, and farm implement dealer Bob Bodensteiner of Elkader.
State Auditor Dave Vaudt will join the panel discussion as a special guest and also address questions relating to the State of Iowa budget and spending.
The annual dinner, hosted by the Clayton County Republican Central Committee, starts at 6:30 p.m. with dinner at 7 followed by the panel discussion. It will be held at Johnson's Banquet Hall in Elkader.
Also slated to talk at the dinner are gubernatorial hopefuls Christian Fong of Cedar Rapids, and Reps. Chris Rants of Sioux City and Rod Roberts of Carroll.
