Even though fall classes have not yet begun, authorities say a case of swine flu has been reported at Central College in Pella.
School officials said Monday that there has been only been one reported case on campus for far, and it was in a female student, who has been sent home.
State health department officials says there will probably be many more cases at Central and at other schools across the state. Officials said the virus never went away and will return just like the seasonal flu this fall.
Central's Dean of Students JoNes Van Hecke said the school is prepared for the flu, but they just didn't expect it to arrive the Sunday before classes started.
