Commit to be Fit: Are your efforts Super Bowl quality?

Football players in the Super Bowl are the best at what they do. They are 'the elite.'
When we see people performing at their best, it often inspires in us the desire to do the same. If you were to compare your attempts to reach your goals to the elite players in the NFL, how would you rate your recent performances? Would your efforts be Super Bowl quality, or are you watching the action from the sidelines?
If you feel really good about life and your accomplishments then, please, dance in the end zone. Or maybe you have enjoyed some great games and now find yourself on the sidelines cheering others on, which is admirable, as we all need cheerleaders. But if you find yourself yearning to get back in the game, here is a game plan to ensure success.
Desire
'Put me in, Coach!' All the players on Sunday want to play. They are passionate about football and have worked hard all year for this championship game. What are you passionate about? It could be advancing your career, helping others, raising children, or being the best person you can be. Identify your passions so you can live your passions.
Discipline
Athletes playing in the Super Bowl have mastered the art of discipline and delaying instant gratification for a more satisfying reward later. The pursuit of instant pleasure often sidetracks success. For example, hitting the snooze button in the morning grants the instant pleasure of sleeping in, but athletes who have a goal to be tough on the field will get up and lift weights so they can be stronger later. Having the ability to delay gratification is one of the most effective personal traits of successful people.
Raw talent
You, too, have natural strengths and abilities. What comes easy to you? Tap into these strengths.
Learn from mistakes
Competitive athletes spend hours watching and analyzing film of past performances in order to correct errors and become better. Reflect on past goal attempts and ask yourself where you dropped the ball.
Team spirit
Successful teams works together. Being a good teammate is passing the ball, blocking opponents, high-fiving after a good play and giving words of encouragement. How can you be a better teammate?
Confidence
Without hesitation, elite football players have to hit hard, run fast and take risks to move down the field. On a scale of 1 to 10, how confident are you in your abilities? What can you do to bolster your confidence?
Gratitude
During acceptance speeches, notice who players thank. Families, spouses, coaches. They also often credit their faith. Take time today to acknowledge people who support you and help make you better.
Coach
Having a mentor will allow you to keep learning. Constructive feedback and continued education will keep you playing at the top of your game.
Train
To be better you have to challenge yourself.
Goals
Each player on the field this Sunday will have had it as a goal to make it to the Super Bowl. Goals will help you gain yards toward your dream of achieving your own 'Super Bowl' moment.
