Mind-Body course to be held at MercyCare North Liberty

Feel better with mind and body skills. MercyCare North Liberty is offering a course focused on the connection between your physical health and the state of your mind and spirit. Simply by learning some easy skills you can gain more control over stress, pain and fatigue - and just feel better overall.
The course is facilitated by Helen Kudos, social work clinician at Mercy Family Counseling. Kudos has advanced training in mind-body medicine.
The course is made up of eight, one-hour sessions. The sessions will be held Thursdays from 11 a.m. to noon, beginning Feb. 2, at MercyCare North Liberty, 1765 Lininger Lane, North Liberty. The cost for the course is $30.
Participants will learn mind-body skills in a small group setting, enhanced with group discussion and support. The following mind-body skills will be featured:
• Soft belly
• Body scan
• Visualization and imagery
• Drawing from the right side
• Movement
• Meditation
• Eating meditation
• Dialogue with a symptom
• Understanding triggers to stress
