Criminal and disciplinary charges against a local doctor accused of having indecent contact with a 12-year-old girl have been dropped.
According to police documents, Thomas L. Warren, 45, was arrested and charged with indecent contact with a child after he was accused of touching the breast of a twelve-year-old female house guest while she was attempting to sleep on the couch of his home in March 2012. Those charges were dismissed May 11 "in the interests of justice," according to court documents.
Though the Iowa Board of Medicine filed formal disciplinary charges against Warren on Jan. 11, 2013, the board voted to dismiss the disciplinary charges in June, after the criminal charges were dropped and the child's parents decided she is not able to participate in the prosecution of the case.
