Revenue up at University Hospitals

University Hospitals has seen growth in revenue in the final quarter of this fiscal year, compared to the same numbers last year, officials told the state Board of Regents this morning during a meeting in Vinton.
With about one month remaining in the hospital's fiscal year, the hospital operating margin is just above 3 percent for the first 11 months of fiscal 2010, officials said. Officials expect to see year-to-date net income of $26 million on about $845 million of net revenue.
That's compared to last year, when the hospital ended the year with an operating loss of about $5 million.
“It's a good sign from where we were this at this time last year,” Chief Financial Officer Ken Kates said.
