Three candidates for the Republican nomination for the U.S. House in Iowa's 2
nd
District have agreed to participate in an issues forum Feb. 6 at Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids.
The three running in the primary are Mariannette Miller-Meeks of Ottumwa, Steve Rathje of Cedar Rapids and Christopher Reed of Marion will participate in the forum hosted by Linn Area Pro-life United and the Mount Mercy Political Science Club.
The forum will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in Betty Cherry Heritage Hall on the Mount Mercy campus, 1330 Elmhurst Dr. NE.
The winner of the June 8 GOP primary will face Rep. Dave Loebsack, a Mount Vernon Democrat.
