DES MOINES – Andrew Roos, with statewide campaign experience in Virginia, Delaware, Rhode Island and Indiana, will lead Gov. Chet Culver's re-elect campaign.
The first-term Democratic governor also announced Tuesday that Jesse Harris, a former member of Sen. Tom Harkin's staff, will serve as deputy campaign manager.
In addition to campaign work, Roos also has done campaign field organizing in New Hampshire, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
Harris' experience includes working as the Iowa director of the SEIU Change that Works campaign as well as coordinated campaign director for the Iowa Democratic Party. He was field director for Culver's 2006 campaign, and worked on former Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack's presidential campaign.
