Branstad to make announcement via Twitter at 9 a.m.

Perhaps suggesting an old political dog has picked up on some new tricks, former Gov. Terry Branstad will announce his announcement tour this morning via Twitter.
Branstad will announce he is officially seeking the Republican nomination for governor.
Branstad, who served as governor for 16 years before leaving office in 1999, will tour Iowa later this month to kick off his campaign. He has been "exploring" a gubernatorial bid since fall.
Branstad will announce the tour dates and cities via Twitter, beginning promptly at 9 a.m.
