Palin tops new 2012 GOP ‘Power Rankings’

Jul. 1, 2010 2:06 pm
Based in part on Gov. Terry Branstad's primary election victory, Sarah Palin tops the new PoliticalDerby.com Republican Power Rankings.
“Palin-backed candidates have cleaned up in the spring primary season and her appearances at Tea Party rallies generate more buzz and pop than Justin Beiber on a Red Bull binge,” according to PoliticalDerby.com editor Jason Wright.
Palin gave Branstad a late endorsement in his three-way June 8 primary contest against Bob Vander Plaats and Rep. Rod Roberts.
Wright gives President Obama the top spot in the Democratic rankings.
After Palin, PoliticalDerby.com rounds out the top five spots with Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul.
