Former Speaker Gingrich in Davenport, Cedar Rapids Wednesday

Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich will visit Eastern Iowa May 26, delivering a lecture in Davenport and headlining a fundraiser in Cedar Rapids.
Gingrich, who leads a think tank, American Solutions, will discuss conservative solutions for Iowa and America at a noon luncheon at the Kirkwood Center for Continuing Education, 7725 Kirkwood Blvd. SW. His “Contract with America” led the Republican Party to victory in 1994, winning the majority in the U.S. House.
Tickets for the luncheon, which is hosted by the Republican Party of Iowa and Iowa House Majority Fund, are $50 and available by calling (515) 282-8105.
Later, Gingrich will deliver an address in Davenport as part of American Future Fund's 2010 Conservative Lecture series. The event and subsequent book signing promoting his newest book, “To Save America: Stopping Obama's Secular Socialist Machine,” will be at 2:30 p.m. May 26 at John Deere Auditorium in the Figge Art Museum.
