Mar. 5, 2010 9:17 am
Bob Krause, candidate for the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination, received nearly twice as many votes as his closest competitor, Roxanne Conlin, in a poll conducted this past week by KNIA/KRLS radio stations at Knoxville.
More than 1, 600 votes were cast on the radio stations' Web site with Krause receiving 62 percent, Conlin 35 percent and Tom Fiegen the remaining 3 percent.
Krause, a former state legislator who has also served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserves, has been campaigning around the state since he was the first candidate to announce last March.
