Krause again calls for debate for Senate hopefuls

May. 11, 2010 1:58 pm
Bob Krause, Democratic U. S. Senate hopeful, has renewed his call for a “true debate” between all three Democratic candidates for the nomination to oppose Sen. Chuck Grassley.
“Today I call on all candidates that seek the Democratic nomination for the U. S. Senate during the coming year to join me in at least one true debate before the June 8 primary,” Krazuse said May 11. “On Oct. 26, 2009, I first issued my call for a series of debates. But now, only three weeks away from the primary, there are no true debates scheduled -- only three panel discussions without rebuttals.”
He called on the Iowa League of Women Voters to put together a proposal to sponsor at least one televised debate prior to the primary.
