Four-way race set in 2nd District GOP primary

A four-way race for the Republican nomination for the 2
nd
District congressional seat is set.
Chris Reed of Marion filed Tuesday and Mariannette Miller-Meeks of Ottumwa and Rob Gettemy of Marion filed Monday to round out the field. They join Steve Rathje of Cedar Rapids in the race for the GOP nomination to face Democratic Rep. Dave Loebsack.

District, Republican Ben Lange of Independence has filed to challenge Democrat Rep. Bruce Braley.
The ballot is filling up in the 3
rd
District, too, where Dave Funk of Runnells has joined the GOP field of potential challengers to Democratic Rep. Leonard Boswell. Jim Gibbons of Des Moines and Scott Batcher of West Des Moines also filed for the GOP primary.
David Jamison of Ames has added his name to the GOP primary ballot for state treasurer. He'll face James Heavens of Dyersville with the winner facing Democratic Treasurer Mike Fitzgerald of Waukee.
Also filing this week were: Senate 17 -- Sen. Wally Horn, D-Cedar Rapids, in Senate 39 -- Sen. Joe Bolkcom, D-Iowa City; House 18 – Rep. Andrew Wenthe, D-Hawkeye, and Roger Arthur, a Sumner Republican; House 29 – Shawn Graham, a Springville Republican; House 32 – Rep. Steve Lukan, R-New Vienna; House 34 – Rep. Todd Taylor, D-Cedar Rapids; House 37 – Rep. Renee Schulte, R-Cedar Rapids; House 38 – Rep. Tyler Olson, D-Cedar Rapids; and House 76 – Rep. Betty De Boef, R-What Cheer.
