Gettemy gets signatures for 2nd District ballot

Rob Gettemy said Monday his campaign has more than 2,400 signatures and has met all requirements to be on the ballot for the Republican June 8 primary to determine who will face Democratic incumbent Rep. Dave Loebsack.
Gettemy, who visited several communities in the district over the past week, said he will continue to gather signatures as they meet fellow Iowans across the district over the coming week.
“We listened to their frustrations about the size of our out-of-control federal government,” Gettemy said. “Every page of signatures is filled with unique stories, and what we've learned over this past week only serves to affirm my decision to serve you in congress.”
“I can't help but wonder that if our current representatives walked down Main Street and opened every door they came to, this country's collective common-sense might rub off on them,” said Gettemy, a Marion businessman,
