The Board of Regents will pay AGB, the firm hired to lead its search for a new president of Iowa State University, a fee equal to 25 percent of the annual base salary of the candidate hired to succeed outgoing President Wendy Wintersteen.
Overnight Wednesday, the University of Iowa updated its Office of the President website to reflect its new leadership — presenting Barbara Wilson as its 22nd president. On Thursday, she officially took the helm, promising to usher in a “new era of excellence” for the Hawkeyes.
Just weeks before starting her tenure as 22nd University of Iowa president, Barbara Wilson recently signed a formal employment contract and deferred compensation plan that includes some notable differences from those of her predecessor Bruce Harreld.
Although the University of Iowa’s first-ever graduation celebration inside historic Kinnick Stadium on Sunday was not an official commencement ceremony, there were plenty of caps and gowns.
