BARBARA A. "BOBBI" ELSON

Barbara A. "Bobbi" Elson was at peace when she passed away Oct. 2, 2015, at her home surrounded by loved ones. Interment will be at Cedar Memorial Mausoleum at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Bobbi was born June 30, 1938, in Iowa City, to LaVerne and Marguerite (Fleagel) McAtee, and attended Alburnett Community School. On Feb. 14, 1955, she was united in marriage to Keith Elson. Bobbi attended the Methodist Church in LaFayette. She was employed by Collins Radio until 1969, when the family moved to Fort Wayne, Ind., and later to Toledo, Ohio, before returning to Iowa, where Bobbi and Keith started Aaron Scale Systems. They traveled extensively, expanding their business throughout the United States and four continents.
Bobbi is survived by her husband, Keith; daughters, Vickii (Ron) Hochstetler and Becky (Tom) Ehlts; sons, Scott and Keith Jr.; sisters, Doris (Vern) Ganoe, Janice (Don) Happel, Sue (Dick) Boddicker and Bonita (Rick) Levesque; sister-in-law, Delores McAtee; grandchildren, Tricia, Amber, Andrea, Tara, Tiffany, Trevor, Lindsey, Teague and Cody; and great-grandchildren, Piper, Trinity, Raynee, Alyse, Bryer, Aniston, Aveyda, Ayden, Athyn, Aynslee, Calie, Hope, Trevor Jr., Keely, Dace, Zaidali, Lakyle, Toby, Sevyn, Kaelynn, Kylie and Kaden. Also surviving are loving pets, Lexey Loo, Snuggles, Waiffy, Daisy Mae and Sugar Foot.
Bobbi was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Troy Elson; two brothers, Tom and Orva McAtee; and her mother- and father-in-law, Lloyd and Genevieve Elson.
Bobbi loved the outdoors, plants and flowers, gardening, raising wild birds, and feeding deer and turkeys from her front door.
Bobbi was loved by many and will be missed by those who can no longer hold her hand or appreciate her smile.
