Junge, Kevin 'Punky'

Kevin “Punky” Junge, 53, died Sunday, May 26, 2013, at his residence following a sudden illness. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, at Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone with the Rev. David Gates officiating. Interment will be held at the Keystone Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

A memorial fund has been established.

Kevin Lee Junge, known to family and friends as “Punky” was born Sept. 5, 1959, in Cedar Rapids, to Curtis F. and Ruth L. (Peterson) Junge and graduated from Benton Community High School. He married Lisa Tatman in 1989.

“Punky” was a self employed farmer who enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and watching sports events.

He is survived by his mother, Ruth Junge of Keystone; his son, Jayson Junge of Van Horne; his daughter, Abbie (Michael) Boddicker of Cedar Falls; his brother, Keith (Wendy) Junge of Keystone; his sisters, Coleen Junge of Marion, Carol (Jeff) Ealy of Newton and Connie (Bill) Hreha of Eagan, Minn.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis on March 12, 2013.
