Stallman, Evelyn Elizabeth
Evelyn Elizabeth Stallman, 97, of Evergreen Estates I, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, after a short illness. Per Evelyn's wishes, there will be a private family service at Fairfax Cemetery. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Evelyn is survived by three children, Don (Mary) Stallman of Cedar Rapids, Kathleen Bossler of Aurora, Ill., and Sharon (Stan) Wacha of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis; daughter, Joan Schrader; two brothers and three sisters.
Evelyn was born Aug. 4, 1915, in Newhall, the daughter of John and Anna (Trosky) Boddicker. She graduated from Newhall High School in 1933. Evelyn married Francis Stallman on Feb. 23, 1938, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Newhall. Evelyn was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.
Evelyn liked to play cards and bingo and watch basketball.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.
