Agee, Dolores
Dolores Agee, 89, of Jefferson, passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at the Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson, Iowa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, officiated by Father Donald Ries. Burial will be at St. Patrick and St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Watkins, Iowa.
Dolores Anna Boddicker was born in Watkins, Iowa, on July 7, 1923, the daughter of Matt and Evelyn Boddicker. Dolores married Carl Agee in 1947. She worked for US West and resided in Des Moines most of her life. She moved to the Jefferson area to be near her daughter for the remainder of her years.
Dolores loved to cook, read, shop and spend time with her family and friends. She was a devoted Catholic and regularly prayed the Holy Rosary. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Jefferson, and previously a long time member of the St. Pius parish in Des Moines.
Dolores is survived by her daughter, Linda (Evans) McWilliam of Paton; son, Wally (Mary Ellen) Agee of Raleigh, N.C.; twin sister, Doris Milane of Orvada, Colo.; sisters, Billy Rushek of Solon and Jean (Jack) Petrzelka of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Ezra (Molly) McWilliam, Abigail (Larry) Pelzer, Jennifer Agee, Amanda Agee and Matthew Agee; and three great-grandchildren.
