Kathleen "Kathy" Fuller, 66, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., Vinton, with the Rev. Douglas Woltemath officiating. Interment will be at Troy Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
A memorial fund has been established.
Kathy was born Oct. 16, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, to Lynn and Grace (Van Milligan) Merrifield, and graduated from North Linn High School in 1967. She was employed as a machinist at DW Products in Cedar Rapids.
Kathy and her significant other, Russ, enjoyed their garden, animals, stargazing and caring for the farm.
Her greatest pleasure came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Tina (Mike) Boddicker of Grinnell; her grandchildren, Alicia (Matthew) Routier of Sully and Ethan (Kelcey) Boddicker of Grinnell; her great-grandchildren, Tyler, Conner and Delanie Routier and Bailey Boddicker; her sisters, Trish (Darwin) Merrified Harmening of Bertram and Nancy Brown of Hiawatha; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her significant other, Russell Aswegn; her brothers, Jim and Tom Merrifield; and her sister, Sharon Bowers.
