A 20-year-old Cedar Rapids man pleaded guilty Friday to sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl in 2013.
Raymond Farmer pleaded guilty to lascivious acts with a child in Linn County District Court. He faces five years in prison and will have to be on the sex offender restistry for 10 years.
Farmer admitted during the plea hearing that he solicited a 13-year-old girl, with or without her consent, for a sexual act April 6, 2013. He also admitted he was 18-years-old at the time.
Assistant Linn County Attorney Jason Burns said count one of the trial information, third-degree sexual abuse, would be dismissed at the time of sentencing as part of the plea agreement.
As part of the plea agreement, Farmer was to be sentenced Friday but 6th Judicial District Judge Ian Thornhill delayed sentencing until a psychosexual evaluation could be completed. Sentencing is set for Oct. 28.
