18-year-old man pleads guilty to sexually abusing two children

An 18-year-old Cedar Rapids man pleaded guilty Wednesday to two charges of sexually abusing two children for over a year.
Kobey R. Pohlman pleaded guilty to lascivious acts with a child and third-degree sexual abuse in Linn County District Court. He abused the children, one under the age of 14 and the other who was 14 or 15, from May 6, 2013 through May 1, 2014 in Cedar Rapids.
Pohlman was originally charged with two other counts of second-degree sexual abuse but those will be dismissed at sentencing as part of the plea agreement.
Pohlman admitted to abusing the two victims during the hearing.
He faces up to 20 years in prison. Sentencing is set Aug. 7.
