Southwest Cedar Rapids shooting injures two

CEDAR RAPIDS — Two people were taken to different hospitals after a shooting on the southwest side Monday night.
Police responded at 6:31 p.m. to near the intersection of Wilson Avenue SW and Wiley Boulevard for a report of shots fired.
Officers found shell casings at the scene and learned two victims checked into area hospitals with minor gunshot wounds, according to a release from police.
Authorities identified both victims as males between 20 and 30 years old, and one was at St. Luke's Hospital and the other went to Mercy Medical Center.
Investigators believe two vehicles were involved in the shooting.
