Fire damages interior of Springville house
SPRINGVILLE - Firefighters responded around 12:17 p.m. Sunday for a report of a structure fire.
They arrived to find a house in the 500 block of Sixth Street on fire.
Fire crews were able to contain the flames, but not before they did 'extensive damage throughout the home,” according to a release from the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
Three children, two 15-year-olds and a five-year-old, along with a dog, were able to get out. The dog suffered minor injuries.
The Red Cross was contacted and is helping with the family's needs after the fire.
The Linn County Sheriff's Office and Springville Fire Department are still investigating the fire.
