Jodi was born Oct. 5, 1965, in Iowa City, the daughter of Roger and June Andrews Kiesau. She was a graduate of Kennedy High School and attended the University of Northern Iowa. On Sept. 20, 1987, Jodi married Ali Kazerani in Cedar Rapids.
Jodi was employed for many years at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in the Department of Anesthesiology as an assistant to Dr. Franklin Dexter.
Jodi loved being active in her sons' lives. She was involved with Boy Scouts of America Troop 270, the PTA and, at West High School, she helped with school plays, the show choir and ticket sales for school events. Jodi volunteered at UIHC caring for cancer patients and those in hospice care. Jodi was a good listener with a positive outlook.
She was loving and more concerned about her husband, sons and family than herself.
Jodi is survived by her loving husband, Ali, and their sons, Reza, Drew and Keion, all of Coralville; her mother, June Kiesau of Cedar Rapids; her sister, Jill Steichen of Rochelle, Ill.; her brother, Jason Kiesau of Des Moines; her maternal grandparents, Andy and Martha Andrews of Troy Mills; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Nasrin (Imir) Ghodsi of Maryland, Nona (John) Hunter of Virginia and Mohammed (Mary) Kazerani of Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Jodi was preceded in death by her father; her paternal grandparents; her in-laws, Ahmad and Masi Kazerani; and her godfather, Neil Kiesau.
