A private family burial will be held for Joan L. Sueppel, 83, of Washington, who died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at Washington County Hospital. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Beatty Funeral Home.
Joan L. Sueppel was born June 23, 1930, in Canton, Ill., the daughter of Earl R. and Wanda M. (Murphy) Wood. She graduated from Ainsworth High School. In 1966, she was united in marriage to Leo J. Sueppel Jr.
Joan was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Washington.
Survivors include her husband, Leo Sueppel Jr.; seven siblings, Jeanette Bergman, Jane Johnson, Jim Wood, Tim Wood, Nancy White, Mary Putman and Mike Wood; and a number of nieces and
nephews.
Preceding Joan in death were her parents; one brother, Frank Wood; and one sister, Jean Hall.
