Hawk Alert issued after Iowa City strong-armed robbery

The University of Iowa issued a Hawk Alert Monday night after a man reported he was robbed near 200 Melrose Court around 8 p.m.
Iowa City police report the victim claimed two men approached him and took his coat and a concert ticket. The men then left on a moped. Police found no suspects or witnesses at the scene.
The victim said that his knuckles were scraped during the robbery.
Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call 319-358-TIPS (8477).
