Ingvall, Janet L. 'Jan'
CEDAR RAPIDS - Janet L. “Jan” Ingvall, 59, of Vinton, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids from a heart attack. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in La Porte City. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the church and one hour before the service.
Surviving are her husband, Dick of Vinton; one daughter, Amy (Brad) Zirtzman of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Ryan, Megan and Laura Zirtzman of Cedar Rapids; one stepgrandson, Sean Zirtzman of Iowa City; and one sister, Pat (Rob) Merritt of Lisbon.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was born Aug. 10, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Joseph Wm. and Nita Ellison Blazek. She married Richard “Dick” Ingvall on Aug. 10, 1968, in Cedar Rapids. Jan worked as a letter carrier for the Cedar Rapids Post Office for 15 years.
She enjoyed watching wrestling and going for boat rides on the river.
