Police say Cedar Rapids man was selling cocaine near school

A Cedar Rapids man is accused of selling cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school.
According to the Cedar Rapids Police Department, officers were driving past Redmond Park at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday night when they spotted 18-year-old Quatrun J. Cropp in the park after it was closed. Officers said saw drug paraphernalia near Cropp and discovered he had been selling cocaine.
Cropp was within 1,000 feet of the Johnson Elementary School of the Arts when he was selling the drugs, police said.
He was taken into custody and faces charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of a controlled substance, Iowa drug tax stamp violation and violating park rules.
