Two Cedar Rapids residents have been charged with first-degree murder in the June 10 stabbing death of a man at a southwest Cedar Rapids apartment.
D. Anthony Ray Curd, 19, of 1442 Fourth Ave. SE, and Daimonay Richardson, 15, of 389 15th St. SE, were taken into custody Monday by Cedar Rapids police. They're each charged with first-degree murder in the death of 22-year-old Ronald Kunkle, who was found June 10 at an apartment at 5663 Kirkwood Blvd. SW.
Kunkle died of multiple stab wounds, police said.
Officials initially said they were investigating the incident as an unattended death, but later shifted it to a homicide investigation.
Curd was in custody Monday at the Linn County Jail, while Richardson was being held at the Linn County Detention Center.
