Coralville man charged with sexually assaulting 15-year-old

A Coralville man is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl in September.

Terrence White, 35, is charged with third-degree sex abuse, a Class D felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

White went to the 15-year-old's house in Iowa City Sept. 29 and asked to come in, police reported. She said no, but he came in anyway and started to touch her breasts and buttocks, police said. White pushed her onto the bed, removed her clothes and forced her to perform a sex act, police said.

The girl, who was bleeding following the alleged assault and had to use a tissue to wipe up the blood, messaged a friend to come over. The friend observed blood on the bed and the tissue, police said.

White denied having sexual contact with the girl.
