Cedar Rapids Fire Department to host fundraiser Saturday

The Cedar Rapids Fire Department is hosting a fundraising event, Neighbors Helping Neighbors, from 2 to 5 p.m. on Dec. 1 at the Central Fire Station, 713 First Ave. SE.
The event is free and will feature food, refreshments and a silent auction.
The proceeds raised will go to support the fire safety program, including the purchase of smoke detectors.
