Two men arrested after shooting at Cedar Rapids apartment building

Police have taken two men into custody in connection to a shooting incident Monday morning at Cambridge Apartments in northeast Cedar Rapids.
Taruis T. Robinson, 18, was arrested for carrying weapons, trespassing and criminal mischief, and Terrell E. Gray Jr., 19, was arrested for trespassing and providing false information.
According to the Cedar Rapids Police Department, officers were dispatched about 9:30 a.m. for reports of shots being fired in an apartment in the 2000 block of North Towne Court NE. When they arrived on scene, officers found an apartment window damaged from what appeared to be gunfire.
The department's Special Response Team was deployed to search for possible suspects inside the building, and Robinson and Gray were taken into custody. Gray also had an active warrant for theft charges.
Police said they believe gunfire was exchanged and one of the apartments was struck by a bullet.
The shooting is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department at 319-286-5411.
