Dec. 19, 2018 3:15 pm
Deputies arrested a 59-year-old West Branch man Tuesday after he allegedly entered an Iowa City residence and attacked the person inside.
According to the criminal complaint, Christopher J. Neuzil faces charges of second-degree burglary and second-degree harassment.
The Johnson County Sheriff's Office said Neuzil entered a residence in the 3200 block of Utah Avenue in Iowa City and punched the person inside 10 to 15 times in the head and chest causing injury.
Deputies said Neuzil also threatened the resident, telling the individual not to call the police or 911 and stating that his friends would hurt them further.
When Neuzil was located and taken into custody, the sheriff's office said he was found to have several box cutters and a fixed-blade knife in his possession.
