One injured in stabbing incident between Iowa City roommates, suspect arrested

An Iowa City man faces a felony charge stemming from an altercation with his roommate.
According to a releasefrom the Iowa City Police Department, Wayne Thomas Saterfiel, 38 of Iowa City was involved in an altercation with his roommate.
Officers were dispatched to the address of 2913 Muscatine Ave. in Iowa City at 7:22 p.m. on Thursday, January 24 where they found an unnamed victim suffering from two stab wounds, one to the abdomen and one to the leg.
Officers spoke with the stab victim and Saterfiel, and it was determined that the pair were roommates that engaged in an altercation, and during that altercation Saterfiel allegedly pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed his roommate twice, the report states.
Saterfiel now faces one charge of willful injury, causing serious injury, a Class C felony.
In Iowa a Class C felony is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
