Berger Lane structure fire under investigation
A structure fire at 1414 Berger Lane in Cedar Rapids, which took place late Sunday night, is under investigation.
According to a news release Linn County Deputies and several surrounding fire departments, including Cedar Rapids Fire Department, responded to the fire at around 9:25 p.m. Sunday.
There were no injuries as the residence, which is owned by Michael McMurrin but it is occupied by his son, Shane McMurrin and Shane's child. was unoccupied when the fire started, according to the release.
The origin of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
