Woodward man accused of using photos to threaten minor into performing sex acts

A Woodward, Iowa man is accused possessing nude photos of a minor and using those photos to threaten the minor into performing certain sex acts.
According to a criminal complaint from Linn County District Court, Kody W. Mulder, 21, faces charges of sexual exploitation of a minor and extortion. Marion police investigated the case.
The complaint states Mulder obtained nude pictures of a minor and then transmitted two images back to the child with the threat that they would be 'all over school” if she did not perform certain sex acts.
Authorities believe the messages were exchanged on or about January 29.
Investigators used subpoenas and executed a search warrant at the defendant's residence to confirm he was the person transmitting the photos and threatening the minor, the complaint states.
