Early morning crash sends pedestrian to hospital
Cedar Rapids police officers responded to a crash early Thursday that sent one person to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
According to a media release, officers were dispatched to the area of Bowling St. and 29th Ave. SW. at 3:07 a.m. Officers believe the victim was a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle.
The victim was transported by Area Ambulance for a serious, potentially life-threatening injury.
The incident remains under investigation and officers, including a reconstructionist, were on the scene early Thursday to gather evidence, according to the release.
