Iowa City man accused of repeatedly sexually abusing young girl

An Iowa City man was arrested Thursday after a juvenile told police the man sexually abused her on multiple occasions in 2015.

Jeffry Brian Waite, 55, faces two counts of third-degree sexual abuse and one count of lascivious conduct with a minor.

A criminal complaint said Waite inappropriately touch the child and forced her to have intercourse on multiple occasions.

The abuse is believed to have spanned multiple years, the complaint said.
