Cedar Rapids man with 3 OWI convictions stopped for 114 mph in a 65 zone

A Cedar Rapids man has been arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence following three previous convictions for the same offense.
According to a release from the Johnson County Sheriff's Department, Jason Alexander Titlbach, 37, was driving a red 2000 Ford Mustang on 218 Southbound in Iowa City during the 2 a.m. hour of July 4, 2018.
Titlbach was allegedly observed reaching speeds of 114 mph in a 65 mph zone.
When officers stopped Titlbach he was allegedly observed with slurred speech, red bloodshot eyes, and a strong odor of alcohol. Titlbach submitted to a field test and failed, and reportedly submitted to a PBT and registed a .128 blood alcohol content.
Titlebach is facing charges of driving while license denied or suspended and operating while under the influence 3rd offense, a Class D felony in Iowa.
