Postville man accused of kidnapping, sexually assaulting 13-year-old girls

A Postville man is accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting two 13-year-old females in Fayette County earlier this month.

According to a news release from the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, authorities were notified on June 4 that two thirteen-year-old girls were picked up by a 19-year-old male ­- later identified as Wilmer Elias Soy of Postville - in the 100 block of East Bradford Street in West Union. According to the news release, the girls were picked up without the permission or knowledge of their parents or guardians.

The news release stated Soy allegedly drove the girls to a remote area north of West Union and sexually assaulted them. The girls were returned to West Union the same day.

Soy was taken into custody on Thursday, and has been charged with kidnapping in the first degree, a class A felony.
