Collins Road to close overnight this week
A portion of Collins Road will be fully closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday night this week (May 30 and 31) for installation of a new storm sewer, according to a City of Cedar Rapids media release.
The closed area will stretch from Northland Avenue to Lindale Drive NE.
The storm sewer is part of a larger construction project on Collins Road that includes widening to three lanes and updating pavement and traffic signals. The project hopes to ease congestion, increase access for bikes and pedestrians and improve stormwater management.
