Anamosa motorcyclist transported by air ambulance to hospital after striking deer near Stone City
A 36 year-old motorcyclist from Anamosa was transported by air ambulance to the hospital for injuries sustained from an accident involving a deer on County Road 28, just south of Stone City near 110th Street.
According to a news release, the motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, was heading southbound on County Road 28 when the vehicle struck a deer at around 6:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17. The driver came off the motorcycle after the impact and was transported by air ambulance to Saint Luke's Hospital. The extent of injuries is not known at this time.
