MARION - Marion police are investigating after a vehicle crashed into a building Sunday night and caught fire.
Police and firefighters responded to the 660 block of 49th Street for a report that a vehicle had crashed into a commercial building.
The crash resulted in a large fire that destroyed the vehicle and damaged the structure, according to the police department.
The driver fled before first responders arrived, police said.
Property records indicate the structure was home to HDC Business Forms, a commercial printing company on the city's east side, a few blocks from Walmart.
According to the police department, investigators still are working to identify the vehicle and its owner.
