Police: One injured in early morning shooting

CEDAR RAPIDS - Police are investigating after a gunshot victim was treated for minor injuries early Wednesday morning at Unity Health Point - St. Luke's on A Avenue NE.
According to a news release, officers were called to the hospital at about 3 a.m. after the victim walked into the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the leg. The person was released a short time later, police said.
Police have not identified the victim nor released how or where the victim was shot.
