Police: Woman stabbed multiple times at apartment in SW Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS - A 37-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times at an apartment in southwest Cedar Rapids, police said.

Officers were called about 9 a.m. Monday to Creekside Apartments at 3009 12th Ave. SW, where they found Diana Depolis suffering from life-threatening stab wounds.

First responders administered emergency medical care, and Depolis was transported to an area hospital for further treatment. Police said Depolis is being treated for serious injuries.

Officers arrested Anthony M. Depolis, 30, on charges of attempted murder, willful injury and domestic abuse ­- assault with a weapon.

Police said the incident appears to be a domestic disturbance that resulted in serious injury. The investigation is ongoing, they said.
