Cedar Rapids police identify man found dead inside car near Interstate 380

CEDAR RAPIDS - Police on Friday identified the body found Thursday inside a car near Interstate 380 as Jordan Driver Haynes.
Police did not release any information about the cause or manner of the 27-year-old's death.
Police were called to a wooded area off I-380 north of 76th Avenue SW around 9:40 a.m. after a property owner reported finding a body inside a vehicle.
Public safety spokesperson Greg Buelow said it appears the vehicle may have 'left the roadway” and ended up in that wooded area.
The vehicle, he said, had sustained significant damage.
The death is under investigation, Buelow said.
