C.R. Police seek information on Greene Square altercation that left man unconscious

CEDAR RAPIDS - The Cedar Rapids Police Department is seeking information on an altercation in Greene Square Tuesday that left one man unconscious.
The department first reported the altercation Tuesday, but issued a request Wednesday for anyone who witnessed or has information about the incident to contact police. Police said the altercation occurred at the park, 400 Fourth Ave. SE, at around 4 p.m. Tuesday. One man was injured by one or more individuals. The injured man was transported to a hospital, but police have not released his name or condition.
Anyone with information about the altercation should contact Cedar Rapids Police Investigator Marty Devore at 319-286-5411, the department said. They can also call Linn County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-272-7463 or send a test message to 274637, and type 5227 and the tip into the message. They should reference case No. 2018-08441.
