Person pinned by vehicle, suffers life-threatening injuries
Police are investigating an incident where a person was seriously injured after being struck and pinned by a car late Thursday.
According to a news release from Cedar Rapids Police, a person was struck by a car at 1618 Park Towne Lane NE just before 11 p.m. Thursday.
The person, who was not identified, was taken to a hospital by ambulance and treated for potentially life-threatening injuries, the news release said.
The release does not provide any information about how the person became pinned by the vehicle, but it says the incident is under investigation.
